About

I’ve been and done a lot of things over the years, which helped me develop my unique skill set. These endeavors include jewelry designer for brands like Fossil and Michael Kors, housewares product development manager for Crate & Barrel, and grad school professor in Human Computer Interaction. These days I lead UX research at the Alzheimer’s Association by day and run Finding Flowers Studio at night and on weekends. I’ve always forged my own path, led by curiosity and a desire to keep learning, growing, and  challenging myself. Learning to paint flowers is just one of those many rewarding challenges!

When I was a product developer I met brilliant textile designers who exposed me to gorgeous painterly floral prints. These sparked my interest in picking up a paintbrush and creating my own hand painted flowers in bright, bold colors that felt like me. In addition to the original art and giclee prints I offer now, I will soon be launching textile designs. I couldn’t be more excited!

I can find inspiration in almost anything, from words in a novel to a walk through the park in my neighborhood. 60s and 70s fashion, mid century modern interiors, and my growing collection of vintage jewelry and floral dresses also provide endless ideas.

My art has been featured in Jackson Junge Gallery’s Ten by Ten group show, the April Showers group show at First Sip Cafe, the Folklore group show at Ravenswood Reproductions, at Little Broken Things, at Bottles Up!, and the Wicker Park Fine Art Fair.
